HID Kit for 2006-2007 Suzuki Boulevard M109R

 

 

Steps for installing HID Kit for your 2006-2007 Suzuki Boulevard M109R. Please read directions fully before starting.  We do not Guarantee proper installation. Install at your own risk.

*Be sure to run you new lights for at least ten minutes the first time you turn them on for proper break in.

 

Tools Needed:

Screw drivers

Allen Wrenches

Pliers

Test light or multi-meter

Wire cutter or scissors

 

 1. Remove the 2 hex screw holding the headlight housing.

2. Remove the 2 push pins using a screw driver (push in the center).

3. Remove the headlight connector

4. Remove rubber boot from headlight. Next remove the headlight bulb by releasing the metal clip.

5. Remove halogen bulb.

6. Remove HID bulb from holder as seen in photo below.

.

7. Insert HID housing into headlight. Secure with metal clip.

8. Reinstall Rubber Boot.

9. Install HID bulb into housing. Be sure that the bulb locks in place. You may have to try it a few time and double check the bulb is lined up with the housing. Also do not touch the glass part of the bulb. If you do clean with rubbing alcohol before installing.

10. Remove seat, and battery cover as seen in photo below.

11. Remove hex screw off left plastics and remove panel carefully.

12. Remove center bulb for fuel tank as seen in photo below.

13. Slide fuel tank back. Be careful not to scratch anything.

14. Use a Phillips screw driver to remove the upper fairing on the forks

15. Use the Velcro provided to mount the ballast on the headlight housing.

16. Connect HID bulb to ballast.

17. Zip tie wires for wireharness as seen in photo below.

18. This is a good time to have a friend help out. With front fairing in hand connect power into the ballast. Connect High beam connector.

19. Connect headlight connector from HID harness to factory headlight plug.

20. Before remounting the front headlight assembly, run wire marked "V Batt" through along front end. Follow the path of the factory wires to under the tank. Be sure the wires are not in the way of steering.

21. Reinstall front end. Be sure all wires are out fo the way.

22. Have a friend lift fuel tank and run V Batt wire under tank. Make sure the wire does not make direct contact with engine.

22. Run wire to battery and connect to positive side.

23. The final steps are to reinstall panels in the same order they were removed.

CONGRATULATIONS!! Your boulevard now has HID lights
